Overview/Brief


Refurbishment of an existing Grade II listed farmhouse complex. The development consisted of four existing building with the provision of three new buildings including an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, gymnasium and home cinema.

Solution


The rooflight was installed on a flat roof to provide natural ventilation and daylight in the basement below, housing a swimming pool and gymnasium.

The rooflight was also supplied with a rain sensor for automatic closing in the event of rain, proximity detection sensors to stop the flat roof rooflight closing when obstructed, remote control, solenoid bolts and building management integration system.

1 No Bespoke Sliding Over Fixed Rooflight 6405mm x 2410mm supplied in 2 sections :

1 No Sliding Section 3202mm x 2410mm

1 No Fixed Section of 3202mm x 2410mm sliding over fixed to create a 50% clear opening, each section of the glass was supplied in 2 sections with an aluminium angle at the join.

Please note: Flat sliding rooflights can only be used for access if suitable balustrades are installed, Glazing Vision strongly recommends seeking guidance from building control before commencing works on site.
