Job Title: Assembly Operative

Department: Production at Glazing Vision

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £11.00 – £12.50 per hour

Directly Responsible To: Production Manager

The role:

Produce finished rooflights to company schedules and drawings, while maintaining excellent housekeeping and following the company’s ISO 9001 2015 quality policy.

Responsibilities:

  • To operate machinery
  • To assemble all variants of the Glazing Vision product range

Skills Required:

  • Must be able to use hand tools
  • Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Be able to work on own initiativE
  • Able to work in a target driven environment

Desirable:

  • Electrical Assembly Experience
  • Abrasive wheels
  • Overhead Crane Experience

Overall role or purpose of the job:

  • Operate production machinery to create parts and sub-assemblies for final assembly into rooflights
  • Make recommendations for improvement in process or products as appropriate
  • Ensure work area is tidy and organised
  • Store products and components in such way as not to lead to damage, defects or a safety hazard
  • Carry out any reasonable request given by Line Supervisor

Essential:

  • Good verbal and written English
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures/practice
  • Full-time/Monday to Friday/ 37.5 hours per week/ 07:30 am 3:30 pm

Expected start date: ASAP
