Sometimes the geography of a building can cause headaches. Perhaps you’d like to install a rooflight but there isn’t enough room for the required upstand, or maybe you have a tight space between two buildings and you’re looking for a glass roof between the two.

WALL ABUTTED ROOFS

This is where experience counts. At Glazing Vision our product has evolved over time and our standard ‘wall abutment’ detail is a good example of this. With wall abutted roofs roof lights, you keep the same minimal framework approach but gain the flexibility to secure your rooflight structurally on up to three adjacent walls, up to a 10° pitch.

Imagine you have a single-storey extension: the wall abutment detail allows you to fix directly to the main building above, meaning that when you enter the new part of the building and look up… you get sky views only.
